Nyantogyera Aidah Family of 4

Western Region, Uganda

This is a family of 4 members, her mum and her three children.

The husband died early this year because of lockdown challenges where he couldn't get enough medication.

These children don't have hope of going back to school as their mum is vulnerable. The children sometimes sleep hungry because their mum works hard to get what to eat but sometimes she fails.

They don't have beddings in their house so it is their wish to have some good beds with bedsheets, blankets and pillows  along with good utensils to keep their health.

They don't have enough land at least where they can grow some vegetables and food to sustain their family and this their dream -  to have enough land  to grow vegetables for  selling and sustain their family.

They are living in an incomplete house which doesn't have some windows - also this needs to be completed.

Tumwebaze Joseph family

Western Region, Uganda

This is Tumwebaze Joseph family.

Joseph's wife is suffering from giggers_enzito (Runyankore language), "Jiggers" in english, a very painful infestation caused by the female sand flea, Tunga penetrans, which burrows into the skin of its host — usually on the feet, but occasionally on the lips, buttocks and even eyelids.

The risk of acute pathology can be prevented by removal of the jigger with a sterile needle and disinfection of the affected area. However, in poor rural or shanty-town settings non-sterile objects are often used to winkle the jigger out, including thorns or non-sterile pins, thereby introducing more bacteria.

Medication is urgently needed for treatment of the infestation, but also support to finish the house construction including some cooking place and a basic solar power supply for lights.

Target:        1,500 USD

Akantorana Geoffrey Family

Western Region, Uganda

They lost their father and mother in 2018, their father died before constructing a big house that could accommodate all of them.

It is their dream to have a good house  to accommodate them because the family is being headed by a young boy who also earns less than 1USD a day on hard work - which is seen as child labour in the rich part of this world.

These children dropped from school since their parents died but they eagerly wait to go back to school if they get some one to support them.

It is also their dream to get a water harvesting tank because of the topography of the area it forces women and children to walk long distances in search for water.

Their desire is having Bio-gas as a renewable energy and have at least one cross breed cow that can give them milk to sell and supply their family medication, balanced diet, good clothing and other basic needs.
